Project summary
House of Healing reflects a modern interpretation for God's Blessed Church, drawing inspiration from historical worship spaces known for their intimate acoustics. Unlike large concert halls where sound can be lost, this design prioritizes the clarity and detail of the music for a more enriching worship experience.
We reviewed architectural proposals, measured existing noise levels, and collaborated with the architect using 3D modeling to create a space free from acoustic issues like flutter echoes. Specially shaped gypsum reflector panels around the stage direct sound towards the audience, enhancing clarity while preserving the desired reverberation.
We also addressed sound absorption. Perforated gypsum panels with sound-absorbing backing for the ceiling, based on our recommendations, will improve speech intelligibility and reduce reverberation times.
Finally, site inspections and acoustic tests ensured the design's successful implementation.
